Pink Poolhouse

Pink Poolhouse

550 sq.m area is located in one of the most densely populated area in Mtskheta.Taking into account scarcity of space and customer requirements, development of the concept follows as such - get as much as possible of the open space, most of the building is either removed from the ground or under its ground. Yard is completely opened and visually divided into three parts: the front yard, cozy seat covered under the console and rear yard with pool.

The architecture is different by its unique construction. Each level is different from the other and has no connection with structure. Ground floor is built with traditional stone style, separately standing second floor, on reinforced red columns and concrete structure with no structural link to the gound floor, and a reinforced concrete foundation embedded in the ground. These elements simply touch each other, and between them the visual connection is solidified.

The screaming red color of the console columns is specially selected precisely to highlight this detail of the concept. The difference between the first and second is sharply drawn Between floors.

The ground floor is more airy and natural, the second is tough and rough, as if no one can question his dominance. The roof of the building houses solar panels, which makes it completely energy efficient. The rest is covered with grass. Also, the second floor has a separate yard and vegetable garden, which are arranged on the roof of the ground floor.

Overall, the whole concept is a game of colors and materials, past and future. Pink pool and red console structure, traditional stone and typical concrete, open plan and eco-friendly environment.
